Draft #1: Creating a resource about the composer and context of the piece with a focus on outlining the pedagogy related to this work. My plan is to use this piece for two main reasons (beyond ensuring that the unit meets the requirement of a Non-Western Art Music piece)

1) It provides coherently structured musical material which is unified through the treatment of the bass line.

2) Provide inspiration for students to compose a bass line which can be added to their 'in-progress' compositions, to yield further musical material for the HSC Music 2 core composition.

3) It is a piece that is intended to be performed by a small ensemble, providing students with the opportunity to learn a piece together in the classroom setting and better understand it's musical features through engaging with the musical material directly.
